Sohail Arora got exposed to Bass music during his days of working with Blue Frog & Zenzi, the iconic music venues of Mumbai. By 2008, Sohail had co-founded Bay Beat Collective, one of India's most influential Bass crews, dabbling in styles ranging from drum n bass to dubstep with a partiality to 'phat basslines'. BBC went onto play some of the most important bass gigs in the country including support for The Prodigy, Chase & Status, Pendulum, London Elektricity, Concord Dawn, and many more. EZ Riser aims to showcase newer forms of electronic music with particular focus on beats, footwork, drum & bass, half-time, trap, hip hop and global bass. A self confessed music geek and heavily influenced by artists such as DJ Rashad, Clap Clap, Zinc, Machinedrum, Addison Groove, Om Unit, Stray, Romare, Four Tet, Flako, J Dilla, Kendrick Lamar, Dengue Dengue Dengue, Egoless and many more, EZ Riser’s spectrum of music is highly versatile. As the founder of KRUNK, India's foremost alternative booking agency and events crew, Sohail & KRUNK have been instrumental in producing and elevating some of the biggest and most prolific talent in India. Sohail also runs India's only dedicated bass estival called Bass Camp Festival. Bass Camp has expanded to 10 Cities of India by 2017 ------------------ About Tarqeeb ----------------- An instinctive approach to multiple mediums defines digital artist and music producer Tarqeeb’s philosophy. Dedicated to building and showcasing an internationally relevant Indian sound minus the cliches he’s using every avenue available to him to point larger audiences in a direction he hopes will be part of our future. These include tightly-tailored DJ sets —think everything from deep meditative dubstep/jungle to indian electronica—hosting a monthly radio show Juggernaut for boxout.fm and his role in DASTA, a six-person artist collective that is bent on inspiring DIY approaches to growth and empowerment through the arts. His rising acclaim has only been further solidified by large-scale appreciation for his unusual, sometimes-surreal digital art. Despite humble beginnings within the medium two years ago, he has since gone on to conceptualise and create poster, album and logo art for local artists like Oceantied, Nanok, Paraphoniks, Profound, Dasta, Dualist Inquiry and Sandunes, as well as international labels like System Music (UK) & Studio Rockers(UK). In many ways, Tarqeeb remains an individual's experiment to link art, music and learning together to form its own microcosm. ----------------- About Hedrun ----------------- With an affinity for vernacular musical motifs and lush introspective ambiances, Hedrun is one of the few flags under which Mumbai resident Palash Kothari serves his brand of abstract yet tonally rich electronica. His most notable works are Drift EP (2019), Dear Craving/Chirp EP (2020), and Vulnerable in Bihag/Mose Bole Na (2020). He has also taken part in 22-2 Vol.2 Group B Compilation and done remixes for Aeon Waves and Black Letters. In 2017 Kothari co-founded Jwala, an 8 member collective of producers aiming to form a community within the Indian electronic music sphere and push out regular music out from largely unheard of talent.
