This February, Bonobo along with homie Funk Assassin bring to you an all-new 4 week residency, 'Evolution Of Dance' that explores how different dances and dance moves redefined the different eras! Along with Antithesis on visuals every Wednesday*, Funk Assassin will create a groovy audio visual set! For the second edition, come and boogie to dance tracks from 1980s! About Funk Assassin Funk assassin is a continuation of DJ Amul bass avatar. Amul fine-tuned his craft as a Dj at Zenzi and Zenzi mills, two of Bombay’s legendary nightlife venues, renowned for their tastes in music and art, forward-thinking bookings and of course, their skilled resident Dj team, that Amul was a part of from 2007 till 2011. His flawless technical skills, an ear of selecting the best tunes and all-around sunny attitude have always made him the person you can count on. On his musical voyage, which perfectly intersects the quality/quantity axis, he has collaborated and performed with end number of Indian & international Djs, producers, musicians, vocalists & percussionists. In 2014 Funk Assassin performed at the first edition of Essential Reggae & Bass festival in Goa & Bangalore & also in 2015 for its second edition in Bangalore. Later in 2016 he went on to perform at Colombo Jazz & Blues Festival as the Rynosax collective in Srilanka & also performed at Bacardi Nh7 Weekender Festival in Pune in the same year.
