About Boombay Djembe Folas: Boombay Djembe Folas is a high energy group who are inspired by Traditional West African music and blend this beautiful folk sound with their own, fusing tribal drums with beautiful melodies. The band was formed in early 2014 and have made people happy and inspired since. The love for West African music bought the band together and was shaped and put together by Ana Bhagat. Boombay also collaborates occasionally with artists doing different forms of art, be it dance or electronic music or live art and more. The band uses traditional folk instruments from West Africa like Djembes, which being the most popular one afcourse, Dununs and the Balafon (Wobden Xylophone) and are known to engage their audiences all over. Anand must be the only one in India to play this beautiful Balafon.
