Meraki

Meraki is a pop, rock and blues duo formed around guitarist Pranay Verma and Diya Verma. Surrounded by music from an early age, this brother-sister duo is inspired by artists like John Mayer, Phoebe Bridgers and Eric Clapton. They first came on the scene in 2020 with their debut single ‘Voices’; a song that has a dark and haunting vibe, with Diya’s vocals surrounded by huge percussion and various orchestral elements. Pranay is a guitarist, songwriter and producer from Delhi, with roots in 70s blues and rock music. Playing since the age of 9, he’s heavily influenced by a range of artists from Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, to progressive rock artists like Karnivool and Periphery, and even contemporary Indian music by AR Rahman. Diya has a soft yet powerful voice, inspired by singers such as Phoebe Bridgers and Stevie Nicks. Meandering between their own individual music preferences and finding a crossover between the two, their set became one consisting of songs ranging all the way from 70s music to early 2000s.
