Run The Dance is about all the intersections of Dancehall and Caribbean culture with dance music from around the world 🌎 Inspired by Jamaican Dancehall and other Caribbean (West Indies) music - DJ’s, MC’s, producers and dancers all over the world mashed up these cultural exports into their own homegrown styles. In New York and London, DJ’s started throwing parties where all these elements come together as one hot, sweaty, gyrating mess on the dancefloor - the Bashment. Bashment is a DJ’ing style that Su Real once pioneered in India with his Trap and Grindhouse series of events in Delhi. Finally, India is ready to “Run The Dance”. Celebrating 10 years of performing as Su Real, pioneering new dance music and pushing the boundaries of DJ culture in India, on this inaugural edition he goes b2b with some of his favourite DJ’s who have been shaking up a storm lately: Kreon, Czetan, Flipsyd, Priyum and Kalbaisakhi. Plus, expect some stellar surprise guests to keep tings nice & spicy! Run The Dance also features dance performances by Irie Dance Crew followed by a “social dance” session to Dancehall/Afro trends and classics. Lady Lolita & co, with Su Real at the helm, are sure to get the whole crowd moving as one.
