His music is a unique synthesis of modern jazz that incorporates his deep understanding of Indian sounds. He has carved a niche for himself in India and the UK owing to his mastery over the Tabla and the Drums. His debut album 'Day to Day' is recognized by the BBC as the top 10 albums of the year and his album 'My East is your West' won Guardian's 'Contemporary Album of the Month'. His achievements are a result of his ability to harmonize modern jazz with electronic music as well as hip hop. HIs latest album, 'More Arriving' embodies local Indian rappers that seemingly compliment his elegant style of modern jazz . This album highlights the plurality of brown voices and accurately depicts the struggles of immigrants being told to 'go home' .
