About Soul Kollektiv: Soul Kollektiv is a bimonthly music and art event curated by Mixlabs Music Academy in Bangalore, India. The primary intention is to propagate more of soul-influenced house music in an emerging sea of electronic music, while also providing a platform for pop-up artists to showcase and sell their work. It is a space designed for artists and music lovers who value authenticity, intimacy, and community. Rather than aiming to please the crowd with mainstream music, it places a higher value on artists who have a unique voice and message to share through their art. Soul Kollektiv is committed to creating an exclusive and unforgettable experience of sound and culture, in a safe and inclusive environment. Music: Alina Alina started her journey in music at the age of 15 when she came across Mixlabs academy and was mentored by Knique. She expresses herself through music which is deeply inspired by ballroom culture, Detroit, and Chicago. For Alina, djing and digging is her way of connecting with the movements associated with the queer community and is also her form of expression. She represents music that is for inclusivity, unity, and zero discrimination.  Alina has played for shows and festivals such as Boiler room India, Magnetic fields, Echoes of Earth, Farout, and more. She wishes to continue pushing and exploring her sonic boundaries and create a space for herself in the underground music circuit in the country. Denoy Denoy’s concrete roots can be traced back to jazz and funk, and he is well known in the ever-growing club circuit in Bangalore. He is known for his awe-inspiring selection of tracks that revolve around house, break-beats, and drum & bass. He also keeps a keen ear towards experimenting with various other forms of music. His DJ sets bring together a myriad of cutting-edge sounds and grooves demonstrating once again Denoy’s love for the fringes of musical expression. Always failing to take the simple street, he carries an offbeat tone to a spoiling recipe while shrewdly keeping the spirit and sensation of what appropriate music is intended to bring out. Elroy Elroy has been in the Deejay scene since 2013. His music interest varies from 1970’s Funk/disco to the current age club music culture. To Elroy, music is a feel of freedom; a get away from the norms of the society; a gateway to zone out and connect with your emotional self. Sindhi Curry Sindhi Curry aka Pramod Sippy is a self-taught DJ. His intrigue led him to continually delve deeper into the artform, perpetually striving to understand it better. Over the course of a musical career spanning more than two decades, Pramod has held multiple residencies and performed across the country. During this journey, he has moved seamlessly from tapes to CDs, to consoles, to vinyl, of which he is a true practitioner with a growing collection. Pramod has been an integral part of the entertainment industry, notably as a co-founder of The Bombay Elektrik Project and The Hive. His work was crucial in building the foundation for culture centers and movements in the country, providing platforms for upcoming talents to showcase their skills. Sindhi Curry’s sound is a true testament to the diversity in music and its evolution through time. His style of music today is influenced by Chicago-House, Disco, Funk, Soul and Detroit Techno, amongst a vast array of genres. The atmosphere that he seeks to create can be best described as fresh, warm, and infused with funky grooves and cosmic sounds. Zionwolf Compulsive music collector, product designer, motorcyclist, Akshay Hegde aka Zionwolf aka Electroson aka Axo, has been sharing his love for dance music in all its diversity by playing extensively and exclusively on the non mainstream circuit, for over a decade. A non-conforming utopian, his sets are spatially coherent and sonically cohesive, mirroring the sentiments of dance music’s early years, unpretentious, provocative …. superlative. Pop Ups: ASYMMETRY Anagha, is a Bangalore based dot mandala artist. Being an introvert she uses her art and her brand ASYMMETRY to channelise her colourful mind to connect with people. Her artwork is all about dots and swipes. She loves what she does and she hopes to add a little more colour to homes and hearts of the people she meets. DiscoDust DiscoDust is a small business started by a product design graduate who grew to fall in love with, and learn the art of resin making, during the pandemic. Bhavya also indulges in making photo manipulated artworks to make reality a fantasy through various forms. Her thoughts of sharing her interests and making a business out of it was her objective for the start of DiscoDust. Imploring resin through multiple media helped her create a wide range of products that she believes will resonate with a community that could appreciate the fluidity of resin. Bath & Being Bath & Being's focus on natural ingredients is at the core of their philosophy. ClaythingsbyAruna Polymer clay jewelry making is her newly acquired passion which took off after she was gifted some clay art tools and materials from a dear friend. She is currently exploring all the new techniques, colours and design possibilities with this new medium and it looks like a fun and long journey. Thecolourmaniac Anjali is an Indian illustrator who is self taught, paving her way into the creative world one day at a time. thecolourmaniac - where happy meets moody - is her brain child which came into existence when she rediscovered her love for making art while struggling with her mental health. She sells cute stationery with her art on it. She also illustrates humans, floofs and cute inanimate things. She particularly loves to doodle people while listening to their cute stories. Sanjna Sanjna is a designer made of 70% chai, 10% bad puns and 20% sunshine (and clearly some love for math)! She loves how making art feels and loves making art feel different. Her understanding of art has grown with her - dabbling in different styles, textures, and softwares.  Her artwork is not only a combination of lines and colours but also her experiences... and a little bit of her heart.  Her biggest wish is that she can share some of that sunshine with anyone who sees her art! Voidx voidx is a young transformative streetwear brand whose core belief lies in providing the Indian audience with clothing that reflects change and adaptability, which is also embodied by the letter x, in the name of the brand. In algebra, the letter x is usually used to connote a variable, something that isn't consistent or has a fixed pattern; liable to change. x can be assumed to be anything the human mind dreams of, and to take you to that x, voidx.
