Our monthly edition of Bombay Jazz Club at Bonobo is back with a new line up! The Bombay Jazz Club is a venture for the curation and production of live music in the area of Jazz and other genres such as the blues, soul, funk, world and independent music. Working with multiple venues (from large concert halls, festivals to private and corporate events) and best in class artists and musicians from around the globe, this venture has at its heart, connecting fans, musicians and venues. (www.musicforgood.in) The upcoming line up includes: Samantha Noella on vocals Rahul Wadhwani on keys Avishek Dey on bass Shravan Samsi on drums Samantha Noella (Vocals) Samantha began her musical journey on stage at the age of five. She turned 'professional' at fourteen. Over the last 25 years Samantha has performed at close to a thousand live gigs, and on several hundred films and advertisement jingles. Samantha performed on Coke Studio's Season 3 in 2013 and her own concerts in Mumbai at the National Centre for Performing Arts, paying tribute to 'The Women in Jazz' and on other occasions reliving the music of artistes like 'Whitney Houston'. In 2001, Samantha pieced together her Jazz and Blues band - Samantha Edwards with Take 4'. The band opened the international Jazz Yatra in 2002 and over the last fourteen years has performed at several music festivals across India. She has performed or collaborated with artistes like Carlos Santana, George Brooks, Louiz Banks, Dana Gillespie, Ranjit Barot, Barbara Morrison and several others. Internationally, Samantha has performed in Dubai, Muscat, New York and L.A and has worked with music directors like R Rahman, Mani Ratnam, Shankar Ehssan Loy, Pt. Zakir Hussain and Clinton Cerejo to name a few. Samantha has served as Vice President of the Cine Singers' Association for ten years, is one of the most in demand vocal coaches and herself holds two Licentiates in Music Performance and Teaching.
