The Social Playground Jam feat. Starlight A new midweek music property showcasing local talent and heavy emphasis on Vocals & Unplugged music. About Starlight: STARLIGHT started as a college band to take part in various college level competitions. The journey started in Dec 2016, doing small gigs in pubs and cafes and then the continuous hard work paid off exactly one year later when we were invited to play in THE BACARDI NH7 WEEKENDER PUNE in December, 2017. But we are just getting started. We released our debut single ‘IDEA OF ME’ in April 2016, and our debut EP shall be out in March 2019. We play soul/blues/ambient/classic/pop rock music in our own style. We believe in spreading the good old music along with performing the latest pop numbers in our own way. Having two different genre vocalists in our band gives us the advantage of performing a very vast set list that comprises of rock, blues, pop, Hindustani classical, Bollywood, sufi music and hence we have got something for everyone in our audience. Our music is inspired by Bobby Hebb, Porcupine tree, Nina Simone, Miles Davis, The Beatles, Tom Misch, Kodaline, Coldplay, John Mayer, Ed Sheeran, Led Zeppelin, Guns N roses, RHCP, Seafret etc. We are known for our acoustic sets that involves all kinds of music varying from Led Zep to AR RAHMAN, John Mayer to Indian Ocean, Coldplay to Coke studio. We also perform acoustic tribute gigs to artists like Coldplay, John Mayer, Maroon 5, Guns N roses. And yes, we dig bollywood as well to keep the audience alive and entertained.
