From her first EP ‘Much Mellow’ to her latest single ‘Qareeb’, Kamakshi has looked to her life and lived experiences for inspiration and woven them into musical motifs that are relatable and authentic. Inspired equally by jazz and R&B as well as by pop and Hindustani classical, Kamakshi’s journey since her debut in 2015 has been one of innovation and reinvention, culminating in ‘Qareeb’, a song about self-care and emotional growth. A consummate performer, some of her notable performances include those at popular music festivals like NH7 Weekender Pune and Shillong, VH1 Supersonic in Pune, Rhythm N Blues Festival in Kasauli, Lil Flea Festival in Mumbai and Delhi alongside a solo US tour across cities like New York, Los Angeles and Austin. Kamakshi also appeared on Season 1 of India’s first-ever English singing reality TV show, The Stage that aired on Colors Infinity and VH1 India, and finished as one of the top 6 contestants. Anoushka Maskey Anoushka Maskey is a singer-songwriter, based in Sikkim/Mumbai, India. She identifies as a lyrics-first musician and plays the guitar and ukulele. Her sound, as well as songwriting, connotes a warm, almost nostalgic feel. With her roots set in folk music and a fondness for storytelling, you will find her work stylistic of the two.
