Madboy/ Mink
Described as the terror twins of Funk and Swing Madboy/Mink is the collaboration between Imaad Shah and Saba Azad. Based out of Mumbai, India, they have in a short time gained notoriety for their electric live sets, both at big festival stages as well as underground parties across the country. Mashing up dirty disco, funk and old-school swing there is a heavy emphasis on live performance. The electronic energy on record is reproduced live on stage using a combination of live synths + guitars + soulfully destroyed samples and a Harlem speakeasy vocal style creating a post-mod electro cabaret experience.
Fuzzculture
FuzzCulture is the one-man show of Arsh Sharma, whose sound is defined by potent rock
riffs set against dance music. Born in New Delhi, Arsh Sharma has earned prime billings at
festivals in India and overseas - Maudit Tangue (France), The Underground HK Tour (Hong
Kong), Bacardi Nh7 Weekender (India) - to name a few. When initially a duo, FuzzCulture was
the recipient of VIMA Awards' highest honour - Thank You For Existing - and even performed
at their main ceremony in Kuala Lumpur.
Having toured Southeast Asia thrice consecutively when signed to Universal Music, the act
also played festivals in India like Vh1 Supersonic, New Wave Music Festival Asia and Red
Bull Tour Bus. FuzzCulture's second full length album Escape to Where You're Wanted in
2019 came out roaring on Apple Music charts for its distinctive sound, redefining industrial
dance music in India.
Shoals
What started out as two friends collaborating to make an album eventually took on a life of its own to become 'Shoals'. Experimentation is at the heart of this creative process, and every whimsical idea is entertained in the pursuit of a sound that tells a story. Shoals comprises Utkarsh Varma and Sidharth Gupta - members of bands River (New Delhi) and GoodKids (Los Angeles, US) respectively. Shoals is most inspired by UK based artists Massive attack and Steven Wilson, late night food delivery services and poorly executed reality TV shows
naqaab47
naqaab47 is a Delhi based hip-hop artist who has 3 alter egos - azaad vijay, haraami swami & pahgull d33waana. He revels in finding the common ground between seemingly paradoxical ideas. His lyrics are as frivolous as they are meaningful, and as timeless as they are current.
What started off as a mild pastime when he was a college student in Los Angeles, has now evolved into an outlet for his most personal inner musings. His music is a heady concoction of intricate rhyme schemes, philosophical reflections and quirky wordplay. Major influences include Earl Sweatshirt, Ab-Soul, MF Doom, Eminem & Ka.
