Often, it’s not just about beat matching perfectly, it’s as much about capturing a mood and evolving it through your record selections as it is locking on to a consistent rhythm and that’s something that Streatham bred DJ, Steve Bishop has proven himself to be mightily adept at over the years and his now ample fan base reflects that talent. As much as his sets under the Oneman moniker may have started turning heads by melding old school UK garage with DMZ style dubstep, he’s proven through his DJ sets and his regular presence on London institution Rinse FM that he can do so much more than just marry classics with current beats. Whether through his famed hip hop & R&B sets for The Boiler Room, the festival smashing back to back sets with Jackmaster as Can U Dance or opening for dance titans such as SBTRKT and Major Lazer, Oneman has that rare ability to destroy any party and leave you in no doubt who it was you’ve been listening to. ** About Virtual Geisha ** Kraków’s finest, Virtual Geisha has played a major role in shaping the city’s dance music scene as we see it today. She has been behind the decks for over 4 years, and simultaneously founded the party series Trips for the Lonely Hearted— that has seen the likes of artists such as Alienata, Fallbeil, December in the past. As an avid vinyl collector, her eclectic taste spans from early trance music, cosmic electro, melancholic experimental ambient, trippy tribal sounds to proper banging techno rooted in the old school. Virtual Geisha also delved in international waters with her Intergalactic FM (NL) show, ‘Under the Sign of Saturn’, recently made her Red Light Radio debut, and has made multiple appearances at the Golden Pudel (DE), Elysia (CH) and in Netherlands, Ukraine, Switzerland and Germany among many others. ** About Shireen ** Shireen is a Delhi-based DJ, and a member of the all-femme creative collective Coven Code. Heavily influenced by the clubbing culture of the UK and its faraway threads in the current Indian music scene, her sets draw from various dance music styles, focusing on house and techno, as well as UK garage, breakbeat, dubstep, and other sub-genres falling under the UK bass music umbrella.
