At his core, Carbon is a live act & producer. It was never an option for Riewert Petersen to battle his way, as a DJ, through the club circuit. With purpose and consistency, the Hamburg producer quickly learned the relevant hardware and software. 2007 saw him come out with his first releases. Today, Riewert Petersen, aka Carbon, is among the best Techno producers from Hamburg. Carbon has put out releases with Senso Sounds, Alula Tunes, Jannowitz Records, Subios Records, Dense Audio, Moonbootique, Soupherb Records, Music4Aliens, Fish & Chicks, Heinz Music, Digital Structures, Creepy Finger, Digital Structures, Anarkick Records, Phobos Records, Eminor Records, Der Hut Records, and many others. Carbon has successfully collaborated with Maksim Dark, Lampé, Peter Groskreutz, and Jonas Wahrlich. Furthermore, he has provided numerous of quality releases on the music market with his Collaboration “Art Factory” (Laika & Strelka). Carbon has been producing for 22 years and has been invited to play at major international events. Nevertheless, he has remained a grounded and balanced individual. After several years Carbon is still known for his down-to-earth attitude. At his shows, Carbon captivates with his cleanly produced sound and his thrilling grooves. With it’s usually uplifting emotional progression, his music rushes through the dancing crowd like a steamer. His music and gigs achieve what they should - a magnificent bliss of rave music.
