On 21st September Daira, Peekay & Arrows will take the stage at antiSOCIAL, Mumbai!
Daira is a Hindi Art-Rock band from Mumbai that fuses alternative rock with a Desi sense of humor. Embracing their roots in India's Hindi heartland, Daira came into existence in late 2014 and have 3 full length albums and 4 singles to their name.
Peekay is an artist, entrepreneur and musician from Hyderabad, India. Having begun her journey being the frontwoman of Rock band “Spell Check”, she went solo in 2020 and grew vastly popular for her debut single “Good Old Fashioned in Love”, being labeled as India’s fastest growing Indie act and receiving an Asia INC 500 award for her contribution to The Arts in her city. Since then she has toured the country, given a TEDx talk on songwriting, released 5 more singles in the Pop/Rock & RnB genres and is due to release an EP in 2023.
Bombay-based artist David Britto began his collaborative project Arrows in 2018 after playing bass for blues-rockers The Tripp and performing extensively at clubs across India as well as music festivals such as Bacardi NH7 Weekender and Sula Fest. While with the band, they released an EP called ‘Superhuman’ in 2016. Thereafter began Britto’s solo work as Arrows where he invites guest artists to feature on his songs. Since 2019, he’s released four singles as Arrows and collaborated with artists such as Vernon Noronha, Siddharth Basrur, Raghav Meattle, The Lightyears Explode, Tejas and Riya Duggal. When Britto is not composing or performing, he writes about and on the indie music scene as a journalist and also runs a podcast called ‘My First Record.’
